Bayes Market charges a small amount of the trading fees to maintain the proper operation and maintenance of the platform. Currently, Bayes Market operates on a Maker-Taker fee structure designed to incentivize market liquidity. We believe that contributing to the order book should always be free.

Makers Trade Free: Users who place Limit Orders that rest on the order book (Makers, or liquidity providers) are charged 0.00% and trade completely free of fees.

Taker Fee Only: Fees are exclusively charged to Takers. A Taker is any user whose order executes immediately by matching an existing order on the book, thereby removing market liquidity.

Taker Fee Rate and Deduction

The Taker fee rate is a flat 1.0% of the transaction value. This fee is calculated and deducted differently based on your action:

  • When Buying Shares: The 1.0% fee is deducted from the final amount of Shares you receive.

  • When Selling Shares: The 1.0% fee is deducted from the BYUSD proceeds you receive from the sale.

Example of Fee Application

  • Buying: If you place a Market Order to buy 100 shares, the 1.0% fee means 1 share (1.0% of 100) will be deducted, and you will receive a net of 99 shares.

  • Selling: If you place a Market Order to sell 100 shares at a price yielding 50.00 BYUSD, the 1.0% fee means 0.50 BYUSD (1.0% of 50.00) will be deducted, and you will receive a net of 49.50 BYUSD.

The precise fee deduction for every Taker trade will be clearly displayed in the Activity section of your account, ensuring full transparency.
